FINALIST!

2017 Focus On Ability Short Film Awards!! Malibu School in collaboration with Safety Bay Senior High School have entered a Short Film and a Documentary this year – branching out to more students within the whole scope of our school!

We’re excited to announce that our school’s short film is a finalist in the NOVA Employment 2017 Focus On Ability Short Film Awards.

In their ninth year, the Focus on Ability (FOA) Awards is designed to encourage film makers to focus on the ability of people with disability. They certainly do that! Check out previous winners in our category. The films are pretty good so the competition is fierce!

Quote from Martin Wren, CEO NOVA Employment: (FOA was his big idea!)

‘Over the years we’ve had 500,000 online votes. I’m glad FOA strikes a chord. It changes attitudes about people with disability and this is important because it’s the first step towards an inclusive society.’
