At Malibu School we have a strong, innovative and dynamic Student Services model. The model’s foundation is based on the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework. Malibu School staff have a strong belief that a cohesive approach leads to a happy and healthy student. The Framework supports Principals, School Leaders, Teachers/Education Assistants, Students and their families to build a respectful and inclusive learning environment where all students can obtain a Future Without Limits.
The Student Services model undertakes a wholistic approach to support each student with their individualised needs. A wrap around team is available for staff, students and families in areas such as positive behaviour support, attendance, mental health and wellbeing, School Bus Services and engagement programs.
Engagement programs explicitly teach students to develop self-regulation skills, increase social and emotional wellbeing and social competencies. Programs include Check-in, Mentorship, Bike Engagement, Future Without Limits Program, Recess and Lunch Club, Soccer program, Communication Circle, Drum Beat Quest and Girls’ Club.
